About the Barnsley PTA
The Barnsley PTA is a volunteer, parent-run organization committed to making our community closer, more active, and better informed. We focus on:
- Enriching our children’s education (through cultural assemblies, science fairs, field trip funding, afterschool enrichment, and more)
- Supporting the Barnsley teachers and staff (through supply reimbursements, staff and teacher appreciation week, and more)
- Fostering community engagement through fun community events (such as Fall Festival, Bingo Night, Spring Festival, International Night, and more)
- Enabling communication and connection (through regular PTA meetings and events, volunteer opportunities, and membership directory)
- Capturing school memories and inspiring school pride (through yearbook and spiritwear)

PTA Meetings
PTA meetings are held virtually via Zoom on the first Tuesday of each month during the school year.
Meetings have a regular agenda which includes a Principal/Assistant Principal Report, Treasurer’s Report, and updates on the upcoming events or any news for the month presented by committee chairs. Some meetings may include a guest speaker presentation. There is always plenty of time for discussion and questions. Meetings are not recorded but minutes and presentations are available on our website following the meeting.
